Recognized for Our Sustainability Efforts

Vittra Rösjötorp Preschool has been awarded the "School for Sustainable Development" designation, a quality mark given by the Swedish National Agency for Education to preschools and schools that work systematically with sustainability issues.

This recognition is a testament to the preschool's commitment to a sustainable future, where children learn about environmental, social, and economic sustainability through play, experiments, and everyday activities.

– At our preschool, sustainable development is a natural part of our everyday life. We want to give children an understanding of how they can influence and take responsibility for their surroundings. We see that children grasp the concept of sustainability more easily when we teach it through simple activities tailored to their interests, says Ann Jue Wang, preschool teacher at Vittra Rösjötorp.

For several years, the preschool has actively integrated sustainability into its teaching, for example, through upcycling projects and thematic work on nature and climate.

This award confirms that at Vittra Rösjötorp, we take our sustainability mission seriously – and that the preschool contributes to equipping future citizens with the knowledge and commitment needed for a sustainable world.
