\n\tYour child’s health is important to us at Vittra. Student health is available as a support for students to achieve the education goals, feel good and for their personal and social development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

What does the student health do?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our student health team at the school consists of special educators, school counselor, school nurse, school doctor, school psychologist and principal. A student health team exists at the school with the mission of providing students with the resources needed to facilitate and help learning and development. This means that you, as a student, can come into contact with student health if, for example, you need extra support. You can read more about our quality work<\/a> and how we work with children’s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The special education teacher<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Works in close collaboration with teachers to map, prevent and remove obstacles to learning, plan and implement extra adaptations. They also have a central role in mapping pupils’ needs for special support and establishing action programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The curator<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Functions as a support in the pedagogical work. The curator works with the school’s value-based issues and equal treatment work as well as the student’s learning, health, well-being to counteract violations and discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school psychologist<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Collaborates with educational staff, through consultation and training. Conducts assessments and investigations to detect psychological or learning barriers, and suggests adaptations and measures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The school nurse carries out vaccinations according to the national vaccination program (opens in a new window)<\/a> and is there for our students with the task of maintaining a medical focus in the student health team and thus in the whole school.<\/p>\n

Our student health team also consists of a school doctor who meets students for medical assessment and competence in student health work.<\/p>\n

Open reception is offered in order for the student to be given the opportunity to seek out the school nurse for advice on health issues and self-care, i.e. the measures that the individual himself can take in case of simple, common illnesses and injuries.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t

In primary school, students are offered three health visits which include general health checks and health talks. In years 2 and 6, students are offered a growth check.<\/p>\n

Preschool class: Health visit with a health talk and examination of height, weight, sight and hearing.<\/p>\n

Year 2: Growth control: height and weight.<\/p>\n

Year 4: Health visit with a health talk and examination of height, weight and back.<\/p>\n
