To choose a school

Thanks to the free school choice, students and parents have the right to apply to whichever schools they want.

The free choice of school means that you as a parent or student have both the right and the freedom to choose the school that best meets the student’s individual needs and wishes, regardless of where the school is located.

At Vittra, we have two separate queues for our preschools and primary schools. Typically, our primary schools admit new students in August or during school breaks. The process of school choice varies from county to county, so please contact the Vittra school you and your child are interested in to learn more.

3 tips for choosing a school

1. Learn about the school’s methods

You know best what motivates your child and what methods suit them the best. Therefore, read about Vittra’s methods and determine if your child will be stimulated by working with resources such as the Vittra book, Community goals, and the Vittra skills.

2. Visit an open house or book a personal viewing

No matter how much you read about the school, the best impression is formed on-site. Attend an open house or schedule a personal tour to experience the facilities and atmosphere.

3. Speak to students and teachers

During your visit to the school, take the opportunity to talk to those who spend the most time there – students and teachers. Find out how students enjoy their school and ask teachers more about the methods and the school’s long-term plan.
