All children and students should experience the joy of learning and growing. But learning new things is not enough – personal development is just as important.
That’s why we work with something we call The Vittra Skills, focusing on strengthening each child’s personal growth while also giving them strategies for learning. This is an important part of helping children become aware of themselves and the world around them.
The Vittra Abilities form an essential part of each child’s individual development. We work with them in different ways depending on age and each child’s unique needs.
They are also key areas that we explore and practice together during our Vittra Assemblies.

It can mean thinking in new ways, exploring different solutions, using one’s knowledge in new contexts, adapting to various situations, or having a flexible mindset.

It can mean taking responsibility for one’s own actions and work, thinking critically and understanding consequences, and caring for our shared surroundings and environment.

It can mean knowing yourself and your own abilities, trusting that you can reach a goal, and having a positive self-image.

It can mean understanding and respecting the needs and perspectives of others, acting with others’ best interests in mind, building relationships, being curious about differences, and communicating in ways that others understand.

It can mean creating structure in your everyday life, reflecting on and guiding yourself in your learning, and adapting or rethinking things based on what you’ve learned.

It can mean staying focused, finishing what you’ve started, not giving up, and working methodically to reach your goals.

With the help of our educational tools, we create a clear structure, a courageous culture and conscious learning.
