A glimpse into the future

In 2025, our first children of Vittra Telefonplan will graduate. Equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to study further or find a workplace where they can implement their ideas - anywhere in the world! They’ve had a schooling that motivated them to ask questions and deepen their knowledge. They solve problems with creativity and innovation and they have a strong belief in their abilities.

A broad digital expertise has given them the tools they need to find new opportunities to communicate and collaborate in a complex flow of information. For them, it is obvious that learning must make sense. They are accustomed to working with the outside world both locally and globally. They know that failure is an experience. They are committed and active citizens who believe that each individual contributes with something unique and valuable.

The educators at Vittra Telefonplan have given each child school days filled with a strong set of values and belief in their own capacity. This has created confidence to experiment, to think innovatively and to work with motivation. Several pioneering projects over the years have attracted attention. It was obvious to choose to work with the world around us. Parents, cultural institutions and businesses have contributed, and they have also learned something from the children in various projects.

The design of the school was based on what actually happens when we learn, a difference from traditionally built school buildings. It stimulated the children's curiosity and creativity; it offered reflection and cooperation in the school, in mobile teams and on the web. The students were equipped with the latest digital technology in a rapidly changing world.

When we look into the future, we need an understanding of what skills are required in the future and the knowledge of how we learn. We feel that we have everything we need to build the school that every child deserves: Vittra Telefonplan. Opening in August 2011.
